Lake Profiles, Maps, & Information
The Lake Profile section includes detailed profiles, photos, and maps of bass fishing destinations across British Columbia. For your
convenience, we have separated the profiles based on their geographical region within B.C. as follows: the Kootenay Region, the Okanagan
Region, and the Lower Mainland/Vancouver Island Region. Click on a Region below to see a list of bass lakes within that region. You
can then click on an individual lake link to view details for the lake itself. Countless bass fishing opportunities exist for both
largemouth and smallmouth bass and we will be continually adding new lakes to this section over time.
The Kootenay region holds tremendous opportunities for largemouth bass, as well as some opportunities for smallmouth bass. Duck
Lake is definitely the crown jewel of largemouth fishing in the Kootenays, while Christina Lake is a tremendous balance of largies
and smallies. Aside from these, there are numerous other opportunities to find bass. The breathtaking scenery at many of
these lakes is worth the trip alone. Make sure you bring the camera to catch the scenery, not to mention to snap a picture of
that big largemouth......
If you are looking for a blend of amazing largemouth and smallmouth bass fishing, you want to venture down to the Okanagan. The
south Okanagan in particular is a bass fishing hotspot that contains numerous and varied opportunities to chase bass. The big
three of big bass fishing are Osoyoos Lake, Vaseux Lake, and Skaha Lake, but these are not the only places to find bass. Many believe
that the next BC and possibly Canadian record largemouth is lurking in the waters of Vaseux or Osoyoos. As if you needed any more
reason to check out this amazing fishery!
The Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island Region is the newest addition to Bass Fishing BC. While I have not personally experienced
this fishery as much as I would like, the opportunities for largemouth and smallmouth are well known to BC bass anglers. This section
is still in development but look for lakes, maps, and info to be continually added.
